We are leading dental office, with a focus on general, family, cosmetic, and surgical dentistry. This position provides oversight for the billing and insurance operations of the practice, in coordination with the hygiene coordinator and treatment coordinator. knowledge of dentistry is preferred but not necessary. We will train the right individual.

Training will be provided for candidates otherwise qualified and who demonstrate the ability to accomplish the required tasks of the office.
COMPENSATION
$19 - $26/ hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
Greets all patients and visitors in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
Manages inbound phone inquiries and routes calls accordingly
Schedules and confirms patient appointments
Provides administrative assistance as needed
Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
Performs other duties as assigned
Verifies insurance information for each patient and maintains databases of patient insurance information
Determines amount owed by insurance and by patients for clinical work performed at the dental practice
QUALIFICATIONS
College degree preferred; minimum of high school diploma with some post high school education or training
Two years of relevant experience preferred
Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
Highly professional and dependable
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent telephone skills
Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite
Experience with dental practice management software a plus
