JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for supporting Retail Operations in the overall operation of the Distribution Center (DC) as it relates to personnel, receiving, shipping, customer service, supply replenishment, inventory control and freight management for all divisions in a professional and profitable manner.
Job Responsibilities:
Implement DC procedures as directed by the Manager of Retail Distribution Center.
Support day-to-day operation of the DC business model including customer service, receiving, shipping, supervision of staff and delegation of daily duties, supporting call center and employee training.
May perform monthly supplies inventory and order/maintain sufficient supplies in order to keep both DC, ecommerce/shipping, and store adequately supplied based on budget.
Oversee end to end inventory operations which include dock supervision, inventory receipts and space allocation.
Identify and resolve order fulfillment discrepancies.
Plan and lead annual ecommerce inventory.
Supervise and work alongside a large team of part-time DC employees. This includes daily communication, setting performance expectations and providing feedback.
Conduct a daily touch base with the Manager of Retail Distribution Center to review the DC metrics.
Qualifications:
A degree from a college or technical institution is desired.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehousing.
Strong internal and external customer service skills.
Self-starter who takes initiative, stays organized and thrives in a hands-on role.
Ability to become forklift certified.
Ability to drive between facilities.
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and inventory control systems.
Position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week and additional time as necessary, including nights, weekends, holidays, home games & special events.
Must enjoy working with people in a retail sales environment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to walk, reach, bend, and twist for entire shift.
Ability to lift 75 pounds and push/pull heavy objects.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
Comfortable and self-motivated to work alone for extended periods of time.
Operates in a professional environment.
TRAVEL: Some travel between buildings is required
