Senior Project Manager Objective Lead and oversee major infrastructure improvement initiatives with portfolios valued up to $40M.
This position holds full accountability for project lifecycle management from initial conceptualization and scope definition through design, implementation, and commissioning phases.
Responsible for maintaining strict adherence to scope parameters, timeline commitments, budgetary constraints, and quality standards while ensuring all projects meet financial compliance requirements.
May supervise Project Engineers and contracted partners as part of project-specific leadership assignments.
Responsibilities Formulate comprehensive project scopes with supporting business cases Create strategic execution frameworks leveraging both company resources and external expertise Guide technical teams in developing detailed specifications and design documentation Establish, monitor, and adjust project timelines to ensure on-time delivery Implement robust budget management protocols throughout project lifecycle Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to incorporate diverse stakeholder perspectives Direct on-site implementation activities and vendor management Maintain systematic project documentation and records Execute thorough project completion and handover processes Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and environmental requirements Foster effective communication channels with operations teams, executive leadership, and procurement partners Uphold organizational policies and safety protocols Utilize enterprise resource planning systems for financial tracking and reporting Deliver regular performance updates including cost analyses and financial forecasting Conduct asset valuation assessments upon project completion Oversee transparent procurement methodologies Process purchasing documentation and payment authorizations Develop contractor bid specifications and evaluation criteria Verify vendor compliance with contractual obligations regarding deliverables, timing, and scope Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or equivalent qualification from accredited institution Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Minimum 10 years' experience within industrial manufacturing settings Proven track record of 10+ years managing complex projects 7-10 years' experience overseeing engineering teams and construction contractors 2-3 years in supervisory capacity (preferred) Willingness to travel domestically (25% with periods up to 50%) Proficiency with project management software and ERP systems Strong technical understanding of industrial processes and facility infrastructure #M1 Ref: #282-Eng Pgh
