Infrastructure Solutions Architect 3- Open Source Software

PROLIM Global Corporation is currently seeking an experienced Infrastructure Solutions Architect in Lansing, MI.

Are you passionate about open-source technologies, container orchestration, and enterprise-scale application deployment?

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Red Hat OpenShift, Apache Kafka, and Linux-based environments to support and enhance mission-critical infrastructure systems at the state level.

Key Responsibilities: As a Solutions Architect, you will: • Collaborate with subject matter experts to allocate containers and deploy applications efficiently.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot applications within containerized environments (OpenShift/Kubernetes). • Manage and improve data sharing tools and analyze current API-based integrations.

• Coordinate with external vendors for software installations and support.

• Apply security patches and ensure software remains compliant with state standards.

• Leverage existing IT resources and consult with Enterprise Architects on best implementation practices.

• Troubleshoot network issues, including DNS, firewall settings, and SSL certificates.

• Support Linux-based application deployment, user provisioning, and software operations.

• Develop technical documentation including EASAs, SSPs, and installation plans.

• Provide recommendations for improving tools, platforms, and operational efficiency.

• Assist with scripting, automation, and maintenance tasks using shell scripting and crontab (preferred). Qualification: • 3+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes, including containerized application deployment.

• 3+ years of experience installing and supporting Apache Kafka.

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with open-source SQL databases (e.g., Presto DB, PostgreSQL), including configuration, connection troubleshooting, backups, and writing queries.

• 2+ years of experience working with web applications, consuming APIs, and scripting for data validation.

• Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux environments, networks, and containerized systems.

Nice to have: • Experience with shell scripting and crontab automation tasks.
