POSITION: Site Assistant

REPORTS TO: Program Coordinator (Administrative Coordinator if based in Central Office)

SALARY: Full Time 50 weeks/As per agency salary schedule

FLSA: Non-Exempt

HYBRID WORK: Eligible

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Supports program compliance of all regulatory agencies.

Provides leadership and opportunities for staff that foster equity and team cohesiveness: critical thinking, conflict resolution and strong communication skills.

Completes documentation in order to meet requirements including: ERSEA, CACFP, Child Plus, Microix, In-Kind and Attendance.

Engages in ordering processes.

Specialized responsibilities will be assigned to each Site Assistant. Examples are: Health, CACFP, In-Kind, etc.

Participates in professional growth and development.

Assists with preparing for professional development opportunities and meetings.

Participate on committees as needed.

Complies with policies and procedures.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inventory supplies and equipment.

Attend meetings and trainings as required.

Viable means of transportation, and evidence of insurance, valid Iowa driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Minimum High School Diploma or GED. Prefer AA Degree in Office Management.

Prefer candidate with minimum of 2 years in clerical office experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work as effective team member.

Knowledge of HS Performance Standards, State licensing rules, and NAEYC Accreditation.

Certifications: Mandatory Reporter, CPR, First Aid, Universal Precautions.

Knowledge and skills in computer operations (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Child plus and other programs).

Ability to perform medium to heavy physical work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force on occasion, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 5-10 pounds constantly, performing such activities as stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, including some duties requiring repetitive motion skills, such as keyboarding and computer use.

Initial physical and one every 3 years thereafter.

Adhere to standards of conduct.
