At our Denver, North Carolina facility, we are seeking a qualified Welder who has proficient experience in Aluminum TIG and MIG welding, for (1st Shift) Monday - Friday. The Welder welds and assembles metal components as identified in production orders and by following specific work instructions. In exchange for your hard work, you will be compensated with a competitive wage.

Position Summary
Welds and assembles metal components as identified in production orders and by following specific work instructions. This position has three (3) levels; A, B, and C. Level C is an entry level position and Level A is the highest. In order to be considered for Level A or B the employee must meet the requirements of all lower levels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
LEVEL C:
Attend work on the schedule established by the employer and without excessive absenteeism.
Follow all safe work practices to include wearing all required PPE.
Must be able to have a basic understanding of the interpretation of blue prints, specifications, and diagrams to determine appropriate welding process.
Use disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding.
Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment.
Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding).
Examine weld for part specifications, Grind or clean weld joint of work piece, and repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes.
Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in a jig fixture.
Assemble component parts using hand and small power tools.
Leak test as needed.
May change hoses, fittings, air valves, suspension parts, etc.
Clean up work area daily.
Must pass HYDAC Basic Weld Test within the first 90 days from date of hire. (Denver location only)
LEVEL B:
Interprets blue prints, specifications and diagrams with minimal guidance in order to determine appropriate welding process.
Familiar with Welding standards and concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on Welding experience to plan and accomplish goals.
LEVEL A:
Will work with minimal supervision. Considered an accomplished welder who can interpret blue prints, and customer requirements with consistent and reliable outcomes.
Can handle complex Welding projects using experience and knowledge attained in similar positions.
May be asked to lead or direct other Welders.
Skills and Attributes
Understand and apply welding techniques; work quickly and skillfully with the hands; accept responsibility for the work performed; visualize what the finished product should look like.
Operate welding equipment with skill.
Education and Experience
High School or GED diploma required.
0-2 Years experience in Industrial Aluminum Welding, Wire-feed welding,
Mechanical w/hydraulics, Wrenching experience, Fabrications with welding and layout.
LEVEL B:
2-4 Years experience in Industrial Aluminum Welding.
LEVEL A:
5 Years of Aluminum Welding experience.
Experience as a Supervisor would be a plus.
Steel/Aluminum experience needed
