Summary
The Clerical Support helps to maintain a well-functioning office environment through the provision of high-quality administrative and clerical tasks. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills help maintain smooth operations.
Qualifications
Processes online library card registration, verifies accuracy of library submitted data, and maintains file of library cardholders
Answers the telephone, directs calls, and takes messages
Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail and packages and prepares outgoing mail
Maintains office equipment; completes preventative maintenance, troubleshoots problems, schedules repairs
Fulfills supplies requests from member libraries
Processes Copy Center requests from staff and member libraries
Administrative filing
Processes requests for office library collection items and maintains collection
Performs other duties, task and special projects, as required.
Additional Information
Qualifications / Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent
Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Prior office experience preferred
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have:
Ability to learn and use proprietary databases
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Work Environment:
Office environment
35 hours per week
8:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday
Occasional evenings and weekends
Other:
Must be able to travel between libraries and throughout Pennsylvania as required
