We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, dedicated individual who will lead and implement LCC’s strategic plan.
POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking an energetic, highly organized, dynamic professional to join our team. This is a full-time position that will manage all aspects of data and reporting for the program and works closely with program staff to ensure data is used to inform decision-making and to better serve students. Position will also support the Registrar in institutional research and data.
As an employee of, and the Colorado Community College System, this position is required to uphold and enforce the policies of LCC and CCCS, and all local, state and federal laws. This position will comply with all student privacy laws (FERPA); and is a mandatory reporter of any suspected illegal activity.
Examples of Duties
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage all program data, including data collection, data management, analysis and reporting
Work closely with the program director to create and implement a data management plan and to set program benchmarks and goals
Analyze, interpret, present and discuss data with program staff to identify program trends and measure progress toward goals
Analyze student performance (academic outcomes, retention, and graduation rates) using student-level data
Prepare reports for College, State, Federal, and other agencies while maintaining an
orderly collection of historical reports.
Provides centrally conducted institutional research studies used by administrators and
decision makers with completeness and accuracy.
Report on contacts with advisors and career and employment specialists on a regular basis and develop reports to help staff monitor their own contacts to manage caseloads
Design and develop data collection forms and tools for data not collected elsewhere and work with relevant departments to integrate existing data from other systems
Collect, manage, clean, recode and/or transform data to prepare for analysis and use
Prepare reports and presentations of program data for various internal and external audiences
Develop and administer an annual student survey and analyze and report on results
Collaborate with internal and external researchers and evaluators studying the program, including coordinating data sharing agreements and preparation of datasets
Create additional qualitative and quantitative assessments in consultation with leadership.
Will partner with Front Range Community College Institutional Research for collaborative research and reporting
Student Records & Data Management Support
Maintain and update student records, enrollment processing, and academic progress tracking
Process transfer credit evaluations and transcript requests
Required Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Strong understanding of program evaluation methods
Experience querying data from a relational database
Excellent multi-tasking ability and responsiveness to time-sensitive requests
Familiarity with issues faced by community colleges at the national level, especially in urban settings
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Supplemental Information
Salary Range: $47,000.00 – $49,000.00. The specific salary will be determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
