Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporaries are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.

This temporary position is located in Durham - Durham County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $35.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 115 Market St, Suite 201, Durham, NC 27701.The duties of this position will include the following:
Setting up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (laptops, printers, cameras, etc.
Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionality.
Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
Install and maintain Windows 2016 and 2022 servers that optimize performance.
Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems. 6.Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts and debugging.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of experience in the field of technology related to the position's role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
