Description

SUMMARY:

The Waste Water Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the wastewater treatment plant and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. This role involves managing a team of operators, maintaining equipment, and implementing safety protocols to ensure efficient and effective wastewater treatment processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of wastewater treatment plant operators.

Monitor plant operations to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment and facilities.

Develop and implement operational procedures and safety protocols.

Analyze operational data and prepare reports on plant performance.

Train and mentor staff on best practices and safety procedures.

Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure smooth operations.

Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.

Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Valid driver's license and ability to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours.

Skills/Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and environmental regulations.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Proficiency in using computer software for data management and reporting.
