Description
In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Supervisor, Enterprise Revenue Cycle – Revenue Integrity is responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operations of a team, within their respective areas, functions efficiently and effectively. The Supervisor, Enterprise Revenue Cycle – Revenue Integrity manages their team’s performance and the development of its people, processes, and improvements according to best practice. Exhibits the Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.
Job Functions:
Conducts root-cause analyses with others to identify opportunities for error reduction and strengthen MHS revenue stream.
Supports development and communication of analytics to departments to address timeliness and accuracy of all charge capture activities including impacts from late charges.
Proactively monitors monthly revenue reporting to identify areas of risk and or impact to the MHS Net Revenue Stream.
Directs and collaborates with CDM Analysts on monthly updates recommended by CDM Software applications, as needed for new services, and other modifications as a result of monitoring efforts.
Builds strong relationships and facilitates productive communication between business owner and clinical operations key stakeholders and core support departments.
Develops, supports, and maintains charge capture and entry systems and processes for all points of revenue capture to ensure that all charges and codes are reconciled and meet system charge lag targets.
Research regulatory requirements relevant to charges, monitors trends, and maintains knowledge of charge-related regulations and standards. Applies knowledge to ensure that charges are accurate, billed correctly, and supportable according to payer and regulatory requirements.
Has the authority and responsibility to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, discipline, direct, or recommend such actions by using independent judgment.
Completes and conducts employee performance evaluations based on direct observation of their employee’s job performance.
Granted authority to perform the supervisory duties and accountable for performing such duties.
Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related health field is preferred or willing to pursue Bachelors in related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in Revenue Cycle healthcare operations required.
HFMA certification preferred.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Special Knowledge, Skills, Training:
Strong interpersonal skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products with the ability to utilize Excel for management reporting functions.
Compensation Details: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
