SUMMARY

The IT Systems Administrator to help maintain, upgrade and service Edlund’s software, hardware, and networks. This role will also act as the primary liaison between Edlund Company’s user base and IT.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop complete hardware and software solutions from general user requirements.

Evaluate related hardware and software products and make recommendations for adoption.

Maintain close relationships with departmental users to make sure their current and future needs are met

Automate tasks through scripting and the adoption of software/hardware tools.

Provide end user support and training at various levels to technical and non-technical staff.

Ability to think about technical problems and business problems with a technical dimension critically and creatively.

Supports and troubleshoots desktops and peripherals as needed.

Supports servers, hardware and software related to ERP systems

Work independently on assigned projects with firm deadlines

PC/Laptop setup, installation, training, upgrades, and troubleshooting

Windows 10/11 and Office 365 support

Support corporate workstation management tool including anti-virus, software patching and automated configuration changes

Other duties as assigned.

Additional hours may be required during fiscal year end.

OTHER NECESSARY FUNCTIONS:

Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards, safety and stretching requirements directed by Edlund Company and the department.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to operate various equipment.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to team and/or employees.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

QUALIFICATIONS:

In depth knowledge of Windows server 2008-2019

Proven experience in VMware, Microsoft and ERP Systems

Proven work experience in helpdesk/customer facing role

Knowledge of scripting/automation of daily and monthly tasks

Help Desk and Help Desk ticketing system knowledge

VOIP phone system experience

Experience in networking, switches and firewalls

Knowledge in Ubiquity and Cisco environments

Support VDI and remote desktop environments

Exceptional communications skills both written and oral.

Customer service oriented with strong technical and problem-solving skills

Ability and willingness to learn new things.

Education and/or Experience

Degree in MIS, CIS, IT, or equivalent work experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance, vision, and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Ability to work in an environment with moderate loud noise level conditions.

Salary, exempt - hours can be between 6am and 5pm.

40 hours per week, may require additional hours during fiscal year end or various projects.
