BASES (Before and After School Extended Services)

Located at New Fairfield Elementary School, New Fairfield, CT
Job Description: EdAdvance is seeking a qualified applicant to work in the BASES (Before and After School Extended Services) Before School Program in New Fairfield. The qualified candidate will be professional, have experience working with elementary school aged children, posses strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be available during before school hours (6:45 am - 8:45 am). The Site Coordinator works under the supervision of the BASES Administrative Team.
Major Responsibilities:
Coordinate operation of the before school program on a daily basis
Supervise children and provide a safe, welcoming environment
Maintain positive relationships with families, children, and school personnel
Maintain student registrations and paperwork
Know and comply with CT Office of Early Childhood licensing regulations
Set up and clean up of program site
Supervise staff during program time
First Aid/CPR/Meds Admin certification to be acquired within 3 months of hire
Other duties as may be assigned
Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of this position Qualifications:
Experience working with school age children
Knowledge of Child Development
Awareness of Age-Appropriate curriculum activities
Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for the entire shift and move through program space (indoor and outdoor) with students.
