Job Description
The Electrical Estimator's role is to calculate the cost of electrical contracting jobs for our industrial client's, and to assess the project's potential profitability. The office location can be in our Mulberry FL or Houston, TX office.
Their responsibilities include:
Estimating costs: Analyzing blueprints, determining wire lengths, and pricing fixtures and installation costs
Managing projects: Communicating with accounting and estimating support, and advising management on project risk
Preparing documents: Drafting proposal letters, and submitting, tracking, and quoting RFIs and responses
Procurement: Sourcing suppliers and procuring sub-contract works and supply items
Financial management: Producing cost plans and budgets, and managing financial matters
Tendering: Ensuring that tender documents are correct and technically accurate, and preparing and submitting electrical tenders
Thorough understanding of Sage/Timberline software
Ability to quickly learn new software programs such as ProCore, Accubid, BlueBeam
Must have 5-10 years of current Industrial Electrical Estimation work
Bachelor's degree and/or certification from an electrician training program to qualify
Electrical estimators need to have a thorough understanding of the work of an industrial electrician, the teamwork dynamics, and anticipate and negotiate potential issues. They also need to have excellent communication skills and work well with a diverse range of people.Company Description
