Salary Range:

Jarco Steel, Inc. is looking to find an Estimator to handle the below duties and willing pay $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 salary depending upon experience.

Duties:

Review and analyze blueprints, project specifications, and other documentation presented by the client, to accurately prepare and estimate projects.

Prepare detail oriented and accurate estimates on new projects and estimate prices for any change orders on existing contracts, meeting assigned deadlines.

Prepare take-off of steel materials, estimate all necessary labor, estimate materials, buyout items, etc. to prepare a thorough bid estimate.

Collaborate with project team members on building to specifications in fabrication.

Appraise and communicate to management team any potential risks and/or conditions not fully captured in estimate that may impact costs of the project.

Be comfortable to discuss alternative recommendations on projects in which management requires alternative estimates to meet client needs.

Interact with other key team members in a professional manner.

Review bid invitations to decide which projects to add to bid schedule.

Assist Accounts Receivable on Schedule of Value (SOV) breakouts.

Must handle bid follow ups.

Write up new jobs.

Must coordinate with Detailers, Engineers, and Joist and Deck suppliers to make sure schedules meet with the client’s needs.

Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu.

Familiarity with EJE.

Familiarity with Excel & Outlook.

Attend budget meetings with clients.

Assist in quoting Value Engineering Budgets.

Review scope work in contracts.

Assist in filling out prequalification forms for contractors.

Must be willing to train other employees interested in learning Estimating.

Detailing experience would be a plus.
