Metro PT is looking for an experienced full time hybrid Occupational Therapist to treat BOTH pelvic and generalized OT patients. *We are also open to training an OT who has a strong interest in pelvic, but does not have their certification yet. The only requirement will be taking the level 1 course prior to starting, and a passion for pelvic floor therapy.

Essential Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one treatment
Evaluates a patient's need for either general or pelvic occupational therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan.
Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of occupational treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent occupational dysfunction in patients.
Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.
Custom Splint Fabrication for Patients
Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
Must be willing to treat all ages and have sensory integration experience.
Responsible for patient caseload consisting of but not limited to pre-natal and post-partum diagnoses, pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, colorectal conditions/chronic constipation, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, and diastasis recti management.
Focuses on the prevention and treatment of functional disorders of the abdominal, pelvic and low back region.
Provides high quality patient treatment including evaluation, treatment planning and implementation, patient/family education and instruction, provision of safety procedures, and communication with those indicated given the patient. ( ie patient, family, physician, and other hospital associates, etc.)
Operates equipment related to patient care including electrical stimulation units. Directs and aids the patient in mobility and strengthening exercises, muscle re-education, and functional training.

CT Licensed Occupational Therapist
Passion for Women's and Men's Pelvic Health
Must be either certified in pelvic therapy OR are currently eligible to take pelvic floor 1 course
Women's Health Certification is a plus. Minimum Pelvic Floor 1 through APTA or Herman & Wallace/willing to complete before starting
Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications.
