RF Engineer - Aerospace Launch Program
Location: Huntsville, AL
Schedule: Full-Time On-site Standard Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
Duration: 6-month contract with potential for extension or direct hire
Clearance: No security clearance required

About the Role
We are seeking a mid-to-senior level RF Engineer to support a prestigious government aerospace launch program focused on lunar missions. The selected candidate will work closely with stakeholders to ensure reliable RF communications between spacecraft, ground stations, and crew modules.
Key Responsibilities
Perform RF link analysis to support communications between spacecraft and ground systems
Analyze and evaluate RF system performance, including antennas and signal routing
Assist with RF supplier components and coordinate technical activities
Conduct system-level integration and RF requirements analysis
Support validation of test requirements and verification through design reviews and documentation
Collaborate with engineers, technical leads, and customer representatives
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM field
Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience with RF engineering and system integration
Strong knowledge of RF theory, link budgeting, antenna placement, and signal analysis
Experience with spectrum analyzers and RF testing methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience supporting aerospace, defense, or NASA-related projects
Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB, Python, and DOORS
Understanding of RF encryption and modulation (e.g., PSK)
Exposure to space communication standards such as CCSDS and NTIA
Background in FPGA integration and RF manufacturing/ installation practices
