We are looking for a skilled Solution Architect to join our team on a contract basis in Tallahassee, Florida. In this role, you will design, implement, and oversee integrated applications across various platforms, ensuring alignment with business strategies and technical standards. You will provide technical leadership and contribute to the refinement of IT practices, while staying updated on emerging technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of integrated systems across multiple platforms.

• Provide architectural consulting and technical leadership to analysts, engineers, and developers.

• Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve cost efficiency and system flexibility.

• Develop and enforce technology standards and policies to ensure consistency.

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of existing IT architecture, infrastructure, and technology portfolio.

• Organize and lead code and design reviews to ensure quality and compliance.

• Create and execute test plans to assess system performance and recommend improvements.

• Offer guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.

• Stay informed on advancements in web development, Windows systems, and database technologies.

• Collaborate with business units to align IT solutions with strategic goals.• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and system design.

• Proficiency in application development tools, including Visual Studio.

• Strong knowledge of relational database systems, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.

• Advanced understanding of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including Microsoft Windows.

• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and work in high-pressure environments.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.

• Familiarity with data privacy practices and applicable regulations.
