Desktop Engineer - Applications Packaging

Job Description

**LONG TERM CONTRACT** This is a services opportunity

Administer JAMF and create packages for applications to deploy on systems across the globe

This includes methods of packaging volume-licensed applications for deployment and repackaging non-PKG installers

Manage and keep third-party applications up to date on the backend

Utilize Bash/Python Scripting for JAMF bundle package creation and deployment

Develop configuration policies, test and document findings, update and effectively communicate procedures

Create customized macOS images to be deployed on Mac Pro, iMacs, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air

Evaluate security updates and service packs for supported applications and perform necessary QC and certification for installation on all supported Mac clients

Should be able to deep dive into issues during UAT, Betas from Apple, file and own cases with Apple, JAMF, Adobe, and any other vendor

This position defines, implements, and maintains compliant and secure IT operations for all Mac systems. It provides central services to provision and deploy the necessary HW/SW according to the user's requests

This position also ensures that IT governance principles are implemented for all MAC systems to maintain network integrity and ensure information is appropriately handled on Mac systems

Documentation and Training – Developing documentation and training about macOS and Apple hardware environments for the end user support team and end users
