Systems Analyst, Entry (CM Safety)

Job Description

BCI is seeking to fill up to two (2) full time positions with an energetic, self-starter who possesses experience in DoD System Safety Programs and will become part of the growing BCI Operations Engineering Safety group. This group provides specific, tailored, System of Systems, Warfare System, Combat System, and Element level System Safety Engineering support to several Coast Guard, Naval Sea Systems Command, Joint, and Naval Air Systems engineering, program acquisition and Fleet support activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise in Configuration Management (CM), planning, and task execution.

Experience Required:

This position requires a bachelor's degree in any field and a minimum of two (2) years' experience in related to Navy Combat System or Combat System Element Configuration Management or no degree and a minimum of four (4) years' Navy Combat System or Combat System Element Configuration Management. Candidate must have an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word) and some working knowledge of Access and Project, as well as experience with Adobe Office applications. Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, are a must. Successful candidate must be detail oriented and analytical.

Description of Duties:

In support of Combat Systems Safety, candidate would be responsible for Configuration Management issues associated with maintaining and controlling hardware inventory, documentation, technology insertion updates, weapons system baseline updates and software configuration; provide baseline updates and software configuration management; support technical team in defining, documenting, baselining, changing, and tracking configuration items; and participate in working groups, meetings and other forums.
