Position Details
What kind of position/job is this? This is a full-time/permanent position within the TRATON Powertrain matrix organization.
Where is the job located? The role offers the flexibility to be based in any of the locations where the Group HR R&D organization operates (Munich, Nurnberg, Germany; Södertälje, Sweden; Lisle / Rochester Hills, USA); Resende, Brazil.
Who will I be reporting to? Functional Reporting: You will functionally report to Andreas Johansson.

Responsibilities
The mining software stack development is driven in an agile VCT (Value Creation Team) formed by several teams in Södertälje with a total of about 100 team members. You will have the responsibility as Release Train Engineer (RTE) for the complete mining VCT.
As the mining RTE you are a part of the VCT Management together with the Product Manager and the System Architect. Your central triad is leading the VCT, setting the direction and targets for all the teams.
In your role as RTE you will manage and optimize the flow of value through the VCT. You will drive execution, follow up deliveries, solve impediments, manage risk and dependencies with other VCT’s. You foster a collaborative mindset by coaching the teams to continuously improve methods and ways of working.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
At least 8 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience
At least 2 years of experience managing technical professionals and technical staff in engineering and design activities
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
At least 6 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience
At least 2 years of experience managing technical professionals and technical staff in engineering and design activities
OR
PhD in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
At least 4 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience
At least 2 years of experience managing technical professionals and technical staff in engineering and design activities
Additional Requirements
