Staff Accountant

Job Description

As a growing B2B manufacturing company located south of Baltimore City, we pride ourselves on producing innovative solutions for our clients while maintaining operational excellence. We’re seeking a skilled staff accountant to join our finance and accounting team to support critical functions and drive organizational success. The staff accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties aimed at maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting business decisions through financial reporting. This role requires attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to managing financial data.

Record daily financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate financial data

Reconcile bank statements, subsidiary ledgers, and other financial records to ensure all accounts are balanced

Draft profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, including variance analysis, sales by brand, and bookings reports.

Answer customer inquiries regarding commission agreements.

Reconcile monthly commission statements and issue payments.

Assist with inventory cycle counts and enter inventory adjustments to maintain accurate inventory valuation.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 3+ years in accounting, preferably in manufacturing or a similar industry.

Proficiency with accounting software and intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of Excel. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication skills for interacting with cross-functional teams and customers.
