The Show Director is responsible for executing live news productions, ensuring seamless execution from pre-show preparation to live broadcast. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Manage news production and direct live multi-camera broadcasts.
Log into NRCS to review and align with producers on show rundown.
Code shows, providing execution commands in automation systems.
Rehearse segments before going on air.
Call the show live, directing camera movements and timing. Requirements:
Must-Haves:
3-5 years of experience directing news or large-scale shows (local station, cable network, or major productions).
Bilingual in Spanish (fluent or near-fluent).
Experience with automation systems (ELC preferred; Sony, Grass Valley, or Ross acceptable).
Strong organizational skills.
Familiarity with NRCS (Newsroom Control System).
Live multi-camera TV production experience.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience working with breaking news or fast-paced live events.
Background in directing high-profile broadcasts.
