Drill Operator / Locator

Job Description

Trenchless Solutions Iowa is looking for an experienced directional driller to join our team. Class A CDL required.

Pay is DOE but ranges from $30+ and most benefits are available after 60 days.

Physical Demands:

Must be physically fit to endure the daily activity involved with the job

Must be able to work in all weather conditions

Must be able to lift 75 pounds

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Operate horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment for the installation of underground telecommunications conduit, including fiber optic cable.

Follow all prescribed safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Prepare and restore job sites, including setting up and maintaining traffic and pedestrian control.

Review and interpret utility locates; ensure all required permits and locates are complete, accurate, and available on-site.

Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Grade and level earth to meet final specifications.

Perform routine equipment maintenance, including greasing, oiling, and making minor repairs.

Provide field leadership and direction to crew members as needed, under the supervision of the project foreman or supervisor
