Position: Survey Project Manager

Location: Remote (must be able to travel to Pensacola & Atlanta, GA)

Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 DOE

Employment Type: Full-Time

Our client is a leading provider of professional survey and mapping services, dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional results. They are seeking an experienced and motivated Survey Project Manager to join their team in FL. This role is ideal for a licensed Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) with strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management and Coordination:

Manage multiple survey projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.

Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to optimize workflow and efficiency.

Serve as the primary point of contact (as needed) for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Survey Research and Analysis:

Conduct and oversee research of survey records, maps, deeds, and other pertinent documents to prepare project deliverables.

Review and approve survey computations, plats, legal descriptions, and other project-related materials.

Work Management and Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor CAD technicians and staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.

Delegate tasks effectively and monitor progress, ensuring adherence to company standards and client expectations.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

Ensure all survey activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.

Perform quality control reviews to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of deliverables.

Business Development:

Support business growth by identifying new opportunities, assisting with proposals, and participating in client meetings.

Represent SCS at professional organizations, events, and industry conferences.

Qualifications:

Must possess a current Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) license.

5+ years of experience in land surveying, including project management.

Proficiency in survey software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation) and GPS/Total Station equipment.

Strong understanding of surveying principles, legal descriptions, and mapping techniques.

Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.

Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
