Packaging Graphics Technologist (Project Manager)

As a Packaging Graphics Technologist you will work as a project manager for candy, mint & gum packaging graphics including top US brands. You are expected to be highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while anticipating the needs of the client.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Utilize Esko graphics workflow tool to input required component information into WebCenter. This information is used to build & manage the project workflow.
Serve as subject matter expert for all things relating to the packaging print process
Ensure brand visual identity and adherence to design standards
Proactively communicates technical challenges in order to adapt a given design to meet the print suppliers capabilities
Partner with packaging engineer(s) to ensure graphics requirements are in compliance within the package dieline
Partner with procurement to ensure the selection of the packaging material print suppliers are accurate based on brand equity requirements, proficiency and complexity
Establish priorities for execution of a project to secure accurate and attainable timelines
Proactively escalate key issues to managers and project team owners on circumstances that impact timelines and/or quality execution of graphics
Drive accountability to deliver accuracy of the final copy
Provide project cost impact analysis estimates to ensure transparency of costing as a result of proposed updates
Qualifications Include:
Project management and organization skills
Knowledge of consumer products packaging, prepress production, and printing
Basic knowledge of color separation, management and printing processes required (i.e. flexographic, rotogravure, offset, digital)
Fundamental knowledge of color management; spectrophotometry and densitometry
Proficient use of the Microsoft operating system including knowledge of business software such as Office 365 and Acrobat
Experience in SAP and Esko WebCenter, a plus
Ability to operate and be highly productive under pressure and jump in with a collaborative attitude at all times.
Able to prioritize and complete work assignments/projects with a sense of urgency and execution for excellent results
Highly creative and inspired, with a sharp eye for detail
Minimum 1 year graphic design or printing work experience ideal
