Position Overview:
As a Fire Extinguisher Technician at Silco Fire & Security, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of fire extinguisher systems for customers. You will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining fire extinguishers to comply with regulatory standards and ensure optimal performance in the event of a fire emergency.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of fire extinguisher systems at customer sites to assess their condition and functionality.
Perform maintenance tasks, including refilling, recharging, and replacing components of fire extinguishers as needed.
Identify any issues or deficiencies in fire extinguisher systems and promptly address them to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Document all inspection and service activities accurately and thoroughly, maintaining detailed records of each client’s fire extinguisher.
Collaborate with customers to provide recommendations and solutions for enhancing fire protection measures based on their specific requirements.
Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to fire extinguisher maintenance and safety.
Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to coordinate service schedules, resolve inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in fire protection systems is preferred.
Proven experience in inspecting servicing or maintaining fire extinguisher systems is advantageous.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.
Knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards, such as NFPA and OSHA is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach.
Detail oriented mindset with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
