Position Summary:
Responsible for connecting graduates from our training and Workforce Development (WFD) programs to career opportunities aligned with their skills and goals. Responsible for building strong employer partnerships, identifying job leads, and supporting the job placement process for graduates completing programs within GWH’s Education and Training Center.
Collaborates with center and program managers, employment specialists, career coaches, and instructors to ensure graduates are prepared and positioned for success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for marketing and promoting business solutions developed and administered through Career Center Services, including meetings with businesses, employers, and other organizations to showcase the services.
Establish targeted outreach strategies to introduce GWH’s offerings to potential partners.
Proactively research and identify potential business, university, and organizational partners that would benefit from the talent developed in GWH’s career pathway programs and services.
Cultivate strong, lasting relationships with decision-makers within customers' organizations, understanding their unique workforce development needs and demonstrating how GWH can help them meet their goals.
Serve as the primary point of contact for both prospective and existing customers, fostering strong, long-term partnerships.
Develop and present customized sales proposals that align with customer needs, emphasizing our suite of career services, including job placement assistance, career coaching, and training workshops.
Create solutions that cater to the specific workforce needs of diverse sectors, promoting the long-term benefits of partnering with GWH.
Negotiate partnership agreements and terms that align with both customers' needs and GWH’s mission and objectives.
Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, ensuring compliance and mutual benefit.
Design and execute marketing campaigns and promotional materials that highlight the value of our career services.
Represent GWH at networking events, industry conferences, and community outreach initiatives to enhance visibility and build new relationships.
Stay ahead of industry trends, local workforce needs, and competitors to refine our approach and continuously improve our service offerings.
Provide strategic recommendations based on data and market insights to inform decision-making.
Maintain job board and Caseworthy records of contacts and outcomes with employers
Develop strategies to recruit, onboard, and retain employers for Employer Connection Day and hiring events.
Work alongside the Business Development Manager to coordinate all graduation-related activities with workforce development programs and the education and training center.
Market program customers to employers and negotiate job placements.
Conduct labor market research to identify hiring trends and employer needs.
Match customers with appropriate employment opportunities based on skillset, interest, and job readiness.
Provide pre-employment coaching, resume support, and interview preparation.
Develop and implement retention strategies to support customers in sustaining employment (e.g., check-ins, follow up with career pathway completers.
Conduct regular follow-ups with both customers and employers for up to 30/60/90/120/180 days or more to monitor job performance and satisfaction.
Address barriers to job retention (transportation, work-life balance, conflict resolution, etc.) and connect individuals to supportive services.
Track retention data and outcomes; prepare reports as required.
Maintain/monitor retention status of career pathway completers.

Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in workforce development, career services, and/or human resources leadership/administrative capacity is preferred.
Ability to craft persuasive presentations, handle client objections, and close partnerships effectively.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to connect with key stakeholders and understand their business needs.
Familiarity with workforce development, current job market trends, and employer hiring practices.
Capable of analyzing market data, identifying profitable opportunities, and developing business plans that align with Goodwill’s mission.
Comfortable delivering engaging presentations to diverse audiences, with the ability to tailor messaging to various stakeholders.
Excellent Computer Skills (proficient in Microsoft Office).
Resourceful, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Must possess a can-do attitude with the ability to set goals, complete duties and assignments quickly and decisively to meet deadlines

Key Performance Indicators (KPI):
Meet or exceed all portfolio programs’ outputs, outcomes, and goals for the (calendar/fiscal) year.
Connect 200 customers with employment and placement opportunities to support GWH’s career pathway and workforce development programs.
Identify and onboard 75 new and active employers that align with the career pathway programs offered through the Education and Training Center.
Identify and secure 50 new hiring managers with current employment opportunities to participate in Career Center hiring events.
Successfully coordinate and plan 8 to 10 hiring events annually
Execute WFD projects as assigned.
