Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Generator Service Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and maintaining Generac generators for residential clients. This role involves direct communication with customers, performing routine maintenance and emergency repairs, submitting warranty claims, and maintaining accurate service records through data entry.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Generac generators (residential and light commercial units).

Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues accurately and efficiently.

Complete and submit warranty claims with appropriate documentation in a timely manner.

Maintain up-to-date and accurate service records using data entry systems.

Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding service needs, repair status, and preventive maintenance.

Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.

Maintain service tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition.

Stay current on manufacturer training and certification programs.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience servicing generators, preferably Generac brand.

Certification or training from Generac (preferred, or willingness to obtain).

Strong understanding of electrical systems, small engines, and power generation.

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and service software.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for data entry and documentation.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to work independently and manage service schedule efficiently.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Work may be performed outdoors in various weather conditions.

Occasional on-call or emergency service hours may be required.
