Job Summary:

This position will have responsibility for managing complex development programs with simultaneous launches on multiple continents. Will lead an international cross functional project team through the product life cycle including business capture, design, development, product launch, start of production, series production, end of production and service life to deliver all program related deliverables on time and within the established budget, quality and contractual requirements.

Essential Functions:

Works with assigned sales counterpart as primary customer interfaces responsible for all contractual, commercial and customer relations issues.

Coordinates and leads Customer prototype and production builds as required.

Obtains program requirements from the Customer and/or Sales Department.

Develops, publishes, monitors, updates and communicates project timing and APQP activities to internal team and customer.

Ensures Customer and internal project milestone requirements are completed.

Ensures project execution is within the defined budget constraints.

Ensures all contractual and quality requirements are achieved in accordance with the project contract.

Leads mandatory project status meetings of international cross functional teams and publishes open issue lists.

Monitors and reports project status to IFA Rotorion North America LLC stakeholders.

Supports on-time completion of customer quotations for new products and/or engineering changes to existing products with input from Product Development Engineering, Process Planning, Logistics, Quality and IFA Rotorion Finance departments.

Contacts and communicates with potential new customers; prepares and presents technical information about IFA Rotorion and our products.

Supports execution of purchase orders for prototypes, production parts and/or equipment & tooling.

Supports the negotiation of pricing and/or contracts with customer.

Coordinates engineering change implementation with customer, suppliers and internal teams.

Responds to customer prototype and production complaints and ensure resolution.

Recognizes priority conflicts and bottleneck situations concerning capacities, scheduling or budget; informs leadership and proposes solutions.

Supports and leads the development, mentoring and training of less experienced PM department team members.

Supervisory Responsibility

No direct supervisory duties, though management of projects includes directing project related activities of the project team members.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filling cabinets and fax machines. This job will also be exposed to manufacturing environment, such as production lines, power industrial trucks, and/or other manufacturing machines.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to

successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

1.Must be able to walk/move about a 500,000sq. ft. manufacturing facility: 90% of the time

2. Must be able to stand/walk/move about specific work area: 75% of the time

3. Must be able to bend/reach/twist/stoop: 40% of the time

4. Must be able to lift up to 30lbs on a frequent basis: 30% of the time

5. Must be able to lift over 30lbs on an infrequent basis: 10% of the time

6. Must be able to push/pull materials using motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment on an infrequent basis: 20% of the time

7. Must be able to sit at a work station: 80% of the time

8. Must be able to work and operate a computer terminal: 80% of the time

9. Vision is required to analyze and process work; and to work on computer terminal/machine centers, etc.

10. Hearing is essential for safety reasons; and to communicate with employees, supervisors, managers, vendors, suppliers and customers via conversation, group meetings, and/or phone conferences

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full time position. Days and hours of work are reflected in IFA NA directive number 1407. This role requires a certain level of flexibility to ensure customer responsiveness.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some projects may require more out-of-the-area, international, and overnight travel.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Engineering discipline in a manufacturing environment or a

combination of education coupled with five years of relevant experience.

Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in an engineering, purchasing or other related role within a manufacturing environment

Proven working experience of lean Manufacturing concepts.

Proven experience working with ERP systems and project management software.

Proficiency with MS office suite.

Preferred Education and Experience

1.PMP certification

2. Product knowledge and familiarity

3. Automotive manufacturing experience as a Tier 1 supplier

4. Experience with IATF / ISO standards and procedures

5. Experience in a leadership position or training role

6. German language experience (reading, writing, speaking)
