We are looking for results-driven IT sales consultants with deep connections and a strong network within small-to-mid-sized enterprises (200 2000 FTEs), particularly on the east coast, though not limited to this geography. The ideal candidate will have experience in managed/cloud services, cybersecurity, Disaster Recovery solutions, or enterprise IT sales. This role offers a monthly retainer for a 6-month trial period, after which the retainer will be adjusted based on performance, with a transition to a commission-driven model.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for our client’s IT solutions.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and market research.

• Conduct thorough needs assessments and “pain points” to understand customer needs requirements.

• Support in presenting client’s IT services to prospective customers, showcasing value and ability to quickly alleviate pain points.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including CIOs, CTOs, and IT Directors.

• Manage the sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to AKCEL Partners and client’s leadership team.

• Utilize CRM to track and report sales activities and deal progress monthly.

• With prior approval, attend industry events, trade shows, and meetings to expand networks and generate leads.

• Participate in biweekly status meetings and client-provided training to stay aligned with business objectives.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10+ years in IT sales, preferably selling managed services, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, or enterprise IT services.

• Established relationships with CIOs, CTOs, IT Directors, or other IT decision-makers within mid-market organizations.

• Demonstrated ability to close high-value IT deals and build lasting client relationships.

• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical solutions clearly.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a commission-driven sales role.

• Willingness to travel as needed to support business development efforts.

Compensation:

• 0-6 Months (Ramp-Up Phase): Consultant will be paid a monthly retainer.

• 7-12 Months (Transition Phase): Consultant will be paid a slightly lower monthly retainer, plus 4% commission on gross profit.

• 13-24 Months (Commission-Driven Phase): No retainer; various commission levels based on service sold.

• Bonus Potential: If team exceeds revenue goals, consultants may qualify for a bonus to-be-determined on incremental revenue.

• Travel & Expenses: Billed at cost.
