The Senior Collaboration Engineer designs, develops, and deploys transformative solutions across the Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystems. This role manages the entire project lifecycle to ensure quality solutions for clients, practice teams, and administrative groups that involve gathering requirements and shaping application architecture to execute custom development and integrate multiple systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver intranet portals, custom applications, workflow automation, data migrations, and user-centric business processes. Essential job functions include:

Defines, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user, department, and practice group needs relating to technology solutions.

Gathers requirements and guides end users to a mutually beneficial solution for the firm and clients.

Makes recommendations to direct management and other firm personnel on modifications, enhancements, replacements, and other improvements to the firm's web and portal applications.

Provides primary maintenance, upgrading, and development for the firm's web and portal applications.

Acts as technical lead for troubleshooting relating to the firm's web and portal applications and related integrated applications.

Works with other staff to develop and maintain standard practices and metrics related to site design, programming, and business systems analysis.

Sharing knowledge with co-workers and ensuring appropriate knowledge transfer for coverage purposes.

Provides quality assurance, testing, and documentation for web and portal applications.

Provides basic project management functions for projects and activities including but not limited to project scoping, task scheduling, resource recommendations, and skill alignment.

Meets with vendors to discuss issues associated with software products and to maintain current knowledge of the latest developments in software technology.

Coordinates with Systems and Applications personnel on issues related to the deployment of the firm's web and portal applications.

Responds to user issues routed by the Help Desk Analysts that relate to assigned applications. Provides feedback to Help Desk Analysts regarding solutions to identified issues.

Assists Help Desk Analysts and firm users after normal business hours. Such assistance will include periodic pager duty rotation.

Other duties as coordinated or assigned from time to time by the Associate Director of Application Development & Business Analysis, Director Project Management - IT, CIO, or other department management personnel.

Technical Skill Requirements:

SharePoint & Microsoft 365:

Build enterprise-level intranet and collaboration solutions on SharePoint Online using out-of-the-box features and custom code through the SharePoint Framework (SPFx).

Developing Office 365 applications and solutions (Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, SharePoint Online).

Power Platform & Node.js:

Create end-to-end workflows and integrations using Power Automate, Nintex, K2, or other workflow technologies; incorporate Node.js services when necessary for additional functionality.

Migration & Modernization:

Lead data migration initiatives from legacy systems (e.g., File Share, SharePoint on-premises) to SharePoint Online or Microsoft 365, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.

Modern Web Development:

Develop rich UI components with React, Redux, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, integrating with SharePoint APIs and third-party services as needed.

Use tools such as ShareGate or the Microsoft SharePoint Migration Tool for content and site migrations.

Azure Services:

Architect and implement complementary Azure services such as Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Event Grid, and AI Builder to extend SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.

NET Core & ASP.NET:

Develop custom solutions and APIs with .NET Core (C#), Blazor, and ASP.NET to deliver high-performing, scalable applications.

Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree with major coursework in a related field; or combination of education and commensurate work experience required.

Trade Training preferred; 5 years relevant experience required, preferably in a professional services environment.

A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the following: Web development, including JavaScript, front-end frameworks (React, Angular), HTML5, CSS, and JSON. .Net or equivalent scripting language building cloud-based applications.

Must have a good understanding and experience in building Office 365-connected solutions, including Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, Power BI, and SharePoint Online.

Experience in building web parts, apps, page layouts, and content types using the O365 API and SharePoint Framework.

Demonstrated proficiency in .NET Core, C#, Blazor, ASP.NET, Node.js, as well as SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React (with Redux, Flux, or React Router), and PowerShell.

Experience with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps, Git, TFS, or other source control management tools.

Solid understanding of relational database development and SQL experience.

Experience with IDEs, Visual Studio, and Visual Studio Code. As well as experience with source control tools such as Azure DevOps.

Experience with Azure resources such as Azure functions, Azure logic apps, and Azure SQL DB.

Experience in applying software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, configuration, development, and unit testing using Microsoft technologies.

High-level understanding of Active Directory, AD security, TCP/IP, DNS, Load balancers, Firewall, and SMTP.

Legal practice/process experience is a plus.

PowerShell experience/expertise.

Ability to work independently in the technical analysis, evaluation, and resolution of large enterprise application production issues or problems, with little or no assistance, and to make decisions and recommendations to remediate those issues or problems.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:

State of California: $110,000 - $211,000

State of Colorado: $102,000 - $182,000

State of Illinois: $100,000 - $194,000

Jersey City, NJ: $120,000 - $218,000

State of Maryland: $107,000 - $163,000

State of Massachusetts: $111,000 - $211,000

State of Minnesota: $111,000 - $183,000

State of New York: $103,000 - $223,000

State of Washington: $107,000 - $204,000

Washington, D.C.: $143,000 - $210,000

The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
