Overview:
Lead the design, development, and optimization of frozen meal manufacturing
processes in a new, high-tech facility. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations,
implement high-speed packaging systems, and support cross-functional teams. This
role spans from concept to execution, with a strong focus on automation, sanitary
design, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement frozen food processing and packaging systems.
Ensure regulatory compliance (FDA, USDA, HACCP, SQF).
Troubleshoot and optimize automated equipment (VFFS, weighers, conveyors).
Create process documentation and support validation.
Collaborate with Quality, Ramped, and Operations for new product launches.
Lead equipment procurement and capital project planning.
Monitor and improve throughput, waste, and efficiency metrics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Engineering
7+ years in food manufacturing, preferably frozen foods.
Expertise in regulatory compliance and food safety systems.
Experience with high-speed packaging equipment and AutoCAD.
Strong problem-solving, project management, and cross-team collaboration
skills.
Preferred:
Experience with IQF, utilities (steam, refrigeration), and capital planning.
Familiarity with ERP systems and Lean/Six Sigma tools.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in cold conditions (-10 ree;F to -20 ree;F).
Must be legal to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
