Location: Mendota Heights, MN Full-Time
About Us
We’re a respected design and fabrication company with over four decades of experience crafting immersive, 3D themed environments, sculptures and other custom elements for high-profile clients across many industries. Our work blends artistry with engineering, using materials like fiberglass, wood, urethane, steel, and large-scale printed graphics to produce custom elements ranging from 3 to 30 feet in size. Our shop combines traditional fabrication methods with advanced digital tools including CNC routing and 3D printing.
We’re looking for a Senior Designer to work with internal team members and clients to lead the concepting process and then provide additional design support throughout the fabrication process. This person will be a creative problem solver with a sharp eye and practical know-how who can design beautiful things that actually get built.
What You'll Do
Lead the conceptual design process for a wide variety of projects—interior and exterior, small to large-scale
Create illustrations, renderings, and environmental graphics from concept through production
Prepare detailed production files including cut files, shop drawings, and large-format print layouts
Translate 2D concepts into 3D models and assist in light CAD work to ensure accuracy and buildability
Interpret architectural drawings and contribute to spatial planning for environments and installations
Work closely with fabrication teams to ensure designs align with materials, tools, and real-world limitations
Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, working independently and collaboratively
Deliver high-quality work while adapting to quick turnarounds and client feedback
What You Bring
4+ years of design experience in fabrication, environmental graphics, experiential design, or similar field
Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and 3D modeling software (SketchUp, Rhino, or similar)
Experience working with licensed IP (style guides, color palettes, following official art direction, submitting concepts & photos, etc.)
Experience creating production-ready files for large-scale graphics, wallcoverings, signage, and themed elements
A solid understanding of materials and fabrication techniques—both hand and digital
Ability to work from architectural plans and understand spatial layouts
Self-starter mindset with strong project management skills and the ability to juggle several moving pieces
Bonus: Familiarity with Character 3D Modeling and Posing, CNC, 3D Printing, or time on the shop floor
Why You’ll Love Working Here
Be part of a creative team where your designs come to life—literally
Work on one-of-a-kind projects for clients across entertainment, hospitality, retail, and more
A company with 44+ years of innovation and craftsmanship
A collaborative environment that values curiosity, efficiency, and making cool stuff
Opportunity to contribute to projects from concept to creation
Benefits: health insurance, paid time off & holidays, retirement plan
