Automobile Technician

Job Description

We are a full-service automotive repair shop celebrating 41+ years in business with mechanics and technicians of all skill levels. Our “A” technician is nearing retirement after 12.5 years with our company and we are actively seeking an experienced automotive technician to become a fundamental part of our team.

Daily tasks and responsibilities include:

*Diagnose mechanical issues with specialty equipment on foreign and domestic vehicles.

*Collaborate with the service writer to complete estimates for customers’ review.

*Perform necessary repairs per industry standards.

*Document and record time, parts, and processes.

*Road test to diagnose customers’ concerns and confirm repairs.

Requirements:

*Previous experience as a professional automotive technician.

*Knowledge and understanding of diagnostic and repair equipment.

*Ability to work independently with a core understanding of a team environment.

*Must have a valid driver’s license

*Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.

*Deadline and detail oriented.

*Must be a reliable, dependable, honest, goal-oriented, team player.

*Technical college degree and or industry training and certification (such as ASE).

*Must have own tools

Pay:

$30 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience, training, knowledge, abilities, qualifications, pay scale, performance-based commission earnings, and benefits package.

*Flexible work schedule (choose your 40-hr work week Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

We own an average of 22 vehicles across the two fleets, have 10 shop bays between the two shops, and employ approximately 25 employees across the three companies.
