Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a PACS Implementation Engineer for a contract opportunity with one of our largest clients in Detroit, MI/REMOTE!

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise PACS Implementation Engineer to support our Engineering and Clinical Systems teams during a large-scale PACS migration initiative. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in PACS/VNA administration, clinical systems engineering, and enterprise-level imaging architecture across multiple healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support enterprise PACS migration efforts across departments and facilities.

Collaborate with vendors, radiology departments, and IT leadership to implement imaging systems (PACS, VNA, RIS).

Design and standardize imaging architecture, network configuration, server infrastructure (VMs), and interoperability strategies.

Administer and troubleshoot PACS environments and provide escalation support for clinical imaging workflows.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure minimal disruption during migrations and upgrades.

Develop and maintain documentation, training, and support materials.

Support integration with other hospital systems (EMR, HL7, DICOM routing).

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in PACS administration and clinical imaging systems.

Strong experience with enterprise PACS and VNA platforms (e.g., Acuo VNA, GE, Fuji, Philips, Sectra, etc.).

Proven track record in enterprise migrations and large-scale hospital implementations.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory, VMware, and imaging infrastructure.

Excellent understanding of DICOM, HL7, and IHE workflows.

Strong communication and project coordination skills.

Preferred: Experience in Radiology IT within hospital or multi-site clinical settings.

Preferred Certifications:

CIIP (Certified Imaging Informatics Professional)

PACS Administrator or Vendor-specific certifications

ITIL, PMP, or other project-related certifications
