Job Description:

The Gas Management Systems Analyst is responsible for the support, configuration, data integrity, training, and administration of gas management and related systems (e.g., GMS, PGAS, SAP ERP, SAP CRB, BizTalk, Crystal Reports). This role acts as a liaison between business units and IT to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient systems operation that supports gas measurement, billing, and internal interfaces. The analyst will lead or participate in software development, reporting, testing, and system enhancement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Support, configure, and administer systems including GMS, PGAS, SAP ERP/CRB, BizTalk, and Crystal Reports.

Collaborate with business units (e.g., Gas Transportation, Settlements, Measurement) to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Design, develop, and deliver ad-hoc reports and dashboards to support business needs.

Perform data audits to ensure integrity and accuracy across systems; coordinate data entry changes as needed.

Lead user testing, develop test plans, document results, and ensure successful implementation of software updates and enhancements.

Provide first-tier support for system-related issues including troubleshooting hardware/software problems and coordinating with IT as needed.

Document software issues, analyze errors, and manage third-party vendor support to resolve problems.

Develop and document business process improvements and contribute to procedural manuals.

Assist with business continuity planning and coordinate emergency operations facility setup and testing.

Provide operational backup to the Gas Transportation Management team and support market services coordination as necessary.

Experience:

Required: At least 1 year of related technical systems experience (e.g., application support, system administration, or database design).

Preferred: 3 years of experience in the natural gas utility industry.

Technical Skills:

System administration and application support

Database query development and optimization

Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)

Database design and implementation

Experience with PC hardware and operating system
