Network Engineer

Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Network Engineer with our client in Minneapolis, MN.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to support the deployment and maintenance of Cisco Meraki network solutions across our U.S. office locations. This role involves working closely with on-site technicians and remote IT teams to ensure smooth installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Meraki routers, switches, and wireless access points. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of network infrastructure, excellent problem-solving abilities, and communication skills to interface both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate with on-site technicians ("feet-on-the-street") to install and configure Meraki network hardware, including routers and wireless access points.

Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to Meraki deployments in a timely and efficient manner.

Monitor and analyze network performance using Meraki Dashboard and other tools; make necessary adjustments for optimal performance.

Collaborate with internal IT teams to integrate Meraki systems with existing network infrastructure.

Provide technical support and guidance to end-users experiencing connectivity or network-related issues.

Document network configurations, installation procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Stay informed on the latest Cisco Meraki technologies, tools, and best practices.

Interface with non-technical local site contacts to perform basic testing and verify successful equipment installation.Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications such as CCNA are a plus.

Demonstrated experience deploying and managing Cisco Meraki products in a multi-site or enterprise environment.

Strong knowledge of networking protocols and concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, and DNS.

Proficient in the use of the Meraki Dashboard for network management and monitoring.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to quickly identify and resolve complex network issues.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical personnel.The base range for this contract position is $35-$65 per hour, depending on experience; pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
