Job Description
Conduct job duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Performs complete adult vascular studies and/or echocardiograms.
Maintains CE requirements for the ICAEL accreditation.
Reports to Lead Tech for clinical application needs and Non-Invasive Testing Manager for administrative needs.
Perform computer acquisition and processing of echocardiograph data and images for interpretation by cardiologists in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines and the company’s established policy and procedure.
Maintain patient confidentiality.
Adhere to compliance policies and procedures. Report any incident that appears/deficient to the department supervisor/manager.
Perform work-related duties as directed. The job duties and responsibilities of the Sonographer - Echo include but are not limited to the previously described areas of duties and responsibilities.
Ensure proper operation of equipment and performance of all echocardiograph studies.
Properly complete patient’s billing sheet to include appropriate CPT codes and ICD codes specific to the ordered diagnostic testing.
RCS, BLS, RDMS certifications required within one year of hire.
