**Job Title: CNC Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating CNC swiss lathe machines, specifically Star machines. You will perform basic operations of CNC machines and bar-feeders, inspect and change worn or broken tools, and engage in troubleshooting and preventative maintenance with assistance from setup machinists.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate CNC swiss lathe machines and bar-feeders.
+ Inspect and change worn or broken tools.
+ Perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
+ Start-up, operate, and shut-down assigned machines.
+ Load raw materials into bar-feeders and adjust them to the machine.
+ Monitor product quality at assigned intervals and keep machines running.
+ Replace tooling as necessary, such as drills and taps.
+ Complete additional tasks such as cleaning products, removing metal shavings, and filling machines with coolant.
+ Maintain work station documentation and enter data on production forms, including quantity produced and hours worked.
+ Perform general housekeeping in work areas.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3+ years of experience with CNC operating.
+ Proficiency with CNC, lathe, swiss, mill, and machine operations.
+ Experience with Haas, Moreseki, Fanuc, Bridgeport machines.
+ Ability to use comparators, lathes, and microscopes.
+ Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints.

$23-$25

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a very clean, fast-paced manufacturing setting. The facility consists of two rooms, each equipped with about 20 CNC swiss machines. Operators work within a cell, which includes two machines, a setup person, an inspector, and a cell operator responsible for visual inspection and deburring under a microscope. Employees are required to wear rubber-soled, non-slip shoes. Despite being a manufacturing shop, the environment is relatively quiet.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Thousand Oaks, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
