Position Reports to: Human Resources and Talent Development Manager

Objective: The Senior Human Resources Generalist will be a strategic partner in providing comprehensive HR services, including talent acquisition, talent development, training, employee relations, HR compliance, and leave management. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Talent Acquisition:

• Lead the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection.

• Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.

• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure a smooth onboarding process.

• Lead and manage internship program

HR Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

• Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to reflect current legal requirements.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure HR practices align with company policies and legal standards.

Leave Management:

• Manage employee leave programs, including FMLA, short-term disability, and other leave types.

• Assist employees with leave requests and ensure proper documentation and tracking.

• Provide guidance to managers on leave policies and procedures.

Training and Development:

• Identify and implement learning development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.

• Design and deliver training programs to address organizational needs and improve employee performance.

• Assess training effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.

• Coordinate with external training providers and manage training budgets.

Employee Relations:

• Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.

• Address employee grievances and conduct investigations as needed.

• Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication and teamwork.

Other Duties:

• Act as a backup for the following HR functions:

• Benefits administration

• Events

• Onboarding

• Compensation

• HRIS Management

• Performance ManagementRequirements:

Education and/or Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in a senior capacity.

· Preferred: Experience in recruiting or talent acquisition.

· Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

· Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

· HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is a plus.

· Preferred: Experience with Paylocity.

· Satisfactory skill set in the use of the following software applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
