Salary: $78,000 plus bonus

Announcing the virtual rebirth of Active Labs as an AI creative studio under the WH agency brand. Were not here to churn out generic, time-saving automation fluff. Were here to make cool stuff people actually likeusing AI as a creative partner, not a shortcut.

We come from a place of deep marketing expertise and a sharp understanding of how people think, buy, scroll, and skip. We move fast, prototype in real time, and launch creative work that hits where it liveson screens, in feeds, and in peoples hearts.

The Role: Were looking for a bold, tech-forward Associate Creative Director with a writing backbone and a creator mindset. Youll concept and lead AI-enhanced creative work across social, video, and SEO-rich contentideally the kind of stuff that enhances a brand.

This role is perfect for someone who has great taste, understands what we want to make (as much as what we don't want to make) and has imagination layered over technology.

What Youll Do:

Make lots of cool things

Lead concept development and copywriting across digital, video, and social formats

Craft smart, short-form scripts, social posts, and interactive content

Collaborate with editors, designers, and AI tools to bring ideas to life at speed

Pitch big, weird, ambitious ideasand follow through to ship them

Explore and push the creative limits of generative tools like Firefly, ChatGPT, Runway, Midjourney, etc.

You Might Be a Fit If You

Have 5+ years in creative agencies, content studios, or in-house creative teams

Are a writer first, but love working across mediumsvideo, social, web, and emerging formats and have good visual taste

Have experience building content thats performance-driven and personality-forward

Understand SEO not as a checkbox but as a creative constraint to play with

Stay current on whats happening in AI, content trends, and internet culture

Are based in Seattle and want to work with a tight, ambitious crew

Have an entrepreneurial spirit and growth mindset

Bonus Points

Experience with generative AI tools and workflows

Strong ideation and short-form scriptwriting chops (TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels)

Journalism, publishing, or creative technology background

Comfortable presenting to clients and shaping ideas in the room

Compensation

We've set a base level of compensation at $78,000 for this role plus a bonus plan based on the growth and success of the Active Labs studio. We'll provide a full-healthcare package, 15 days PTO, holidays and a strong inclusive culture.
