Citizens is seeking an experienced risk professional to join the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Team to help drive Strategic Risk Management and Oversight, and ERM enhancements. The ERM Director is an important role responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of assigned ERM and Strategic risk programs. This role ensures the in- scope programs are designed and implemented in alignment with applicable regulations, industry best practice, and strategic imperatives of the organization. This role reports directly to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management.

Primary responsibilities include:

Lead and develop a team of risk professionals responsible for supporting ERM and Strategic risk programs.

Develop and execute strategies for program management and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful implementation of program enhancements.

Drive identification, monitoring and management of top and emerging enterprise risks.

Lead strategic direction of an integrated GRC solution through collaborative engagement with business and technology partner.

Research and analyze risk trends and industry benchmarking to drive continued improvement and evolution of ERM capabilities.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the lines of defense to drive adoption and enhancements of the assigned programs.

Oversee adherence to the managed policies and programs.

Qualifications:

10+ years of relevant experience in Risk Management, Audit within the banking or financial services industries.

Demonstrated experience in program management and stakeholder management.

Enterprise Risk Management and Strategic Risk Management knowledge.

Strong analytical skills and an innovative approach to problem solving.

Ability to collaborate effectively, build relationships, facilitate discussions, and diplomatically build consensus across diverse audiences/viewpoints.

Excellent communication skills.

Familiarity with Archer, GRC tools is preferred.

Familiarity with Generative AI risk framework is preferred.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree and Equivalent Work Experience required; advanced degree preferred.

Hours & Work Schedule: Hybrid/3 days in the office, 2 remote

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
