JOB TITLE: Project Manager

REPORTS TO: Construction Manager

STATUS: Full time, exempt

LOCATION: Bellingham, WA, travel required (25%-75%)

SALARY RANGE: $100,000-$140,000/year depending on experience and interview outcome

JOB SUMMARY:

The Project Manager will oversee multiple industrial construction sites, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality project completion. This role requires a leader experienced in managing construction projects across multiple locations, with a focus on coordinating with contractors, managing permitting processes, and ensuring compliance with industrial building codes. In addition to overseeing construction, the Project Manager will collaborate with various internal business units to design and layout industrial spaces that meet operational needs and align with strategic goals. The ideal candidate will balance on-site oversight and remote project management, working closely with internal teams, general contractors, and procurement teams to ensure operational efficiency and sustainability. Travel 25%-75% is required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

● Manage and oversee multiple construction projects, ensuring they meet timelines and budgets, travel up to 75%.

● Collaborate with internal business units (e.g., operations, engineering, production teams) to design and layout industrial spaces and projects, ensuring alignment with business needs and strategic objectives.

● Provide guidance to site managers and general contractors, maintaining alignment with Tidal Vision’s goals.

● Oversee permitting processes and ensure all projects comply with international industrial building codes as well as international fire codes.

● Coordinate procurement and supply chain management for construction materials and equipment.

● Facilitate effective communication across teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

● Balance on-site management with remote coordination (approximately 50/50 split).

● Track project progress and report updates to senior management.

● Anticipate challenges and develop proactive solutions to keep projects on schedule.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

● Minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-site construction management.

● Experience working with business units to design and layout industrial spaces.

● Strong familiarity within international/industrial building codes, international fire codes, and OSHA requirements.

● Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., MS Project, Excel).

● Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

● Experience managing permitting processes for industrial construction projects.

● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and balance remote and on-site work.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

● Familiar with all stages of a Greenfield Project.

● Familiar with project sites being designed for storing and using hazardous materials.

Licensing and Special Requirements:

● Incumbent is subject to a criminal background check.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Most of the work is performed in an office environment. Work can be hybrid, onsite at headquarters and on work sites. Sitting or standing for long periods may be required. Working around or near industrial or construction sites will be required. Must use proper PPE at all times.
