Summary: Intake customer vehicles, diagnoses problems and service needs, schedules work, assigns jobs to service technicians and communicates job status to customer.
Essential Duties:
Assist Service Manager in maintaining an efficient service department with a high degree of customer satisfaction.
Up-sell services to customers by informing them of service specials and any additional work needed.
Provide exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers
Thoroughly understand customers concerns and clearly describe them on the work order.
Estimate costs and completion dates at time of sale and communicate them to the customer.
Assign jobs the technicians based on skill level and current resource availability.
Review work in progress to ensure timely completion and inform customer immediately of any delays or additional costs.
Determine correct parts and part numbers for work to be performed and insure they are all sold to work order prior to closing work order
Complete estimates for internal and customer accident repairs
Ensure all customer, internal and warranty repair orders are opened and closed correctly and in a timely fashion.
Follow procedures to ensure quick and efficient submission of warranty claims. Monitor claims on a daily bases and make any correction or resubmissions immediately.
Be familiar and efficient with all phases of the computer systems required for service advisor and warranty management.

Working Conditions:
The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department.
Occasionally, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
