Maintenance Mechanic C

POSITION: Maintenance Mechanic C DEPARTMENT: Engineering REPORTS TO: Chief Engineer, Assistant Engineer, and Maintenance Supervisor Job Summary: We are looking for Maintenance Mechanic C support operations by maintaining equipment, troubleshooting when problems arise, and repairing machines when broken down.

They perform troubleshooting and repairs for all facets of modern automated equipment.

This is a position where a candidate can continue to improve their skills and grow into more advanced roles.

Primary Job Duties: * Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on automated equipment.

* Answer calls for maintenance quickly and fully prepared to make any repairs needed.

* Should be visible and readily available on the plant floor as much as possible to assist each other and all other departments as needed.

* Complete preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, both while running and during scheduled shutdowns.

* Maintain a safe working environment both in the maintenance shop and on the plant floor.

* Must be food safety minded with attention to details being critical when working on equipment or anywhere near the product.

* Provide and maintain your own hand tools, including, but not limited to wrench sets, miscellaneous pliers, socket sets, hammers, punches, etc.

* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Experience: Prior experience in plant maintenance or general commercial mechanic experience.

Education: A high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications: * Previous working in the food industry is a plus.

* Strong mechanical ability.

* Electrical troubleshooting ability.

* Strong mechanical ability.

* Strong understanding of basic tools.

* Ability to lift and carry at least 50lbs.

* Ability to work on your feet for hours at a time, and in hot environments.

* Food manufacturing knowledge is a plus but not required.
