CHILD WELFARE CASEWORK SUPERVISOR - SCREENING

Coordinates and supervises support staff and caseworkers in the screening department; provides clinical, administrative, and supportive guidance and supervision to staff.

The employee will help the agency achieve CFSR standards and help ensure service delivery that focuses on safety, permanency and well-being for the families served by the agency.

* Supervise and advise staff on policies and procedures for screening child welfare casework: assess service needs, case direction, contact community resources and decision making.

* Assign child welfare cases to service teams.

* Educate team to non-mandated and mandated reporters on screening practices and agency interventions.

* Review instructional material and share information on new procedures and methods or treatment.

* Perform crisis intervention/counseling; provide direct and indirect services in absence of caseworker.

* Conducts employee evaluations and other personnel documents.

* Conducts unit meetings and consultations; attends required management and agency meetings.

Master's degree in social work or related area and 3 years child welfare/social work experience; or Bachelor's degree in social work or related area and 4 years post-degree child welfare/social work experience.

LISW licensure; Experience with providing child welfare supervision (Screening) and staff training (preferred) 2nd Shift - Flexible 8-hour shift to include some weekends/weekdays
