Picker Packer: The Picker Packer plays a crucial role in Alabama’s mission to combat hunger. This position involves selecting/picking and packing boxed food items for distribution to partner agencies and community programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to supporting the organization’s efforts to provide nutritious food to those in need.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Accurately pick and pack food items based on agency orders, ensuring correct quantities and product types.

Assist in maintaining organized inventory, including restocking shelves and rotating stock to ensure freshness.

Inspect food items for damage or spoilage, adhering to food safety standards.

Safely operate warehouse equipment such as electric and manual pallet jacks.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following sanitation procedures and safety guidelines.

Work collaboratively with warehouse staff and volunteers to meet daily distribution goals.

Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.

Pay:

$15 an hour with weekly pay.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. Enjoy evenings and weekends off!

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

At least 1 year of recent warehouse or order fulfillment experience.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Basic math and reading skills; attention to detail; ability to follow instructions.
