This is an Adjunct (part time) instructor position teaching Notary Public courses including Electronic Notary (eNotary) Public.

Central Carolina Community College is seeking a dedicated adjunct instructor to teach Notary Public and eNotary Public courses in accordance with North Carolina Secretary of State regulations.

Instruction may be delivered as traditional in-person (seated) classes or through a hybrid format, including synchronous/asynchronousonline delivery, when permitted.

Proof of applicable certifications is required.

* Courses are offered across Chatham, Lee, and Harnett Counties, with options for one and two-day sessions, weekday, evening, and Saturday schedules.

* Ability to teach in any college service area county; Chatham, Lee, Harnett * Ability to teach varied/flexible schedule within WCE Terms; Spring (Jan.

1 - May 15), Summer (May 16 - Aug.

14), Fall (Aug.

15 - Dec.31) * Ability to teach daytime, evening, and/or weekend classes * Adjunct faculty are required to attend department meetings, participate in professional development related to classroom instruction and pedagogy, and maintain any required certifications and eligibility to teach related subjects.

Essential Duties * Deliver instruction using the official Notary Public and eNotary Public curricula provided by the NC Secretary of State including the most current NC Notary Public Manual and presentation material * Facilitate traditional seated and/or synchronous online classes in accordance with approved instructional methods * Complete, maintain and submit accurate documentation (attendance rolls, sign-sheets, instructor/course contracts, required state reports) in compliance with college and NC Secretary of State requirements * Abide by college-wide policies and procedures regarding classroom conduct * Adhere to the scheduled time of class/lab * Develop a course syllabus that is in keeping with program and College policies * Ensure that program specific evaluation methods are administered and completed in a consistent and equitable manner and effectively assess the established course objectives * Support students in achieving certification through effective teaching and classroom management * Communicate updates or changes (state mandated) to course or state reporting requirements to the program coordinator in a timely manner * Maintain certifications and eligibility to teach Notary Public and eNotary courses including maintaining a personal copy of the most current NC Notary Public Manual * Recognizing and respecting the variety of experiences and contributions represented by all of our students, employees, and community, the Notary Public (Adjunct) will encourage a learning environment where everyone is supported and valued for their unique perspectives and experiences and will foster and promote the participation of all members of our diverse communities.

Minimum Requirements Required educational background: * High School Diploma * Certified NC Notary Public and eNotary Instructor Training Required kind and number years of work experience: * Active as a Notary Public Instructor within the past 12 months * Active as a NC Notary Public within the past 12 months Required knowledge, skills and abilities: * Experience teaching Notary Public and eNotary Public * Experience working with non-traditional and diverse adult student populations * Proficient computer skills * Positive attitude * Effective written and verbal communication skills * Effective classroom management skills Required license or certificate: * Valid and active NC Notary Public and/or eNotary Public Instructor certification (must be maintained) * Valid and active NC Notary Public commission certification (must be maintained) Preferred Requirements * Associate's degree or higher in Business Administration or related field preferred * Experience teaching an academic (college) setting preferred * Experience working in a team environment preferred * Experience using classroom technology and learning management systems (Blackboard) and/or teaching online preferred * Experience using Google and Microsoft applications preferred * Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred * Mental Health First Aid training preferred
