Job Title: Patient Flow Enhancer - Operating Room Cost Center: 603181311 IMHos-Surgical Svcs Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0 Employee Type: Regular Work Shift: Variable (United States of America) Job Description: JOB SUMMARY The Patient Flow Enhancer - Operating Room is responsible for assisting with direct and indirect care as needed.

Assists with tasks such as cleaning, stocking, patient transport, quality management, data entry, typing, assisting patients/families with comfort needs, aiding with patient specimen collection, and completion of paperwork.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: None Preferred/Optional: Completion of a Nursing Assistant training program or EMT, RN, LPN, Surgical Tech or Medical Assistant program.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Minimum Required: Must have hands on patient experience obtained through work experience, clinical rotation, or course work.

Demonstrates excellence in customer service and professionalism.

Able to follow directions and keep accurate records while maintaining confidentiality.

Able to work in a high stress/high volume environment and cooperate with and under direction of others.

Must have good communication skills and be able to relate effectively/ kindly to patients and families.

Must also have good clerical & numeric perception and demonstrate kindness, maturity, sense of responsibility, empathy, initiative, and honesty.

Preferred/Optional: Word processing experience.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.

Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: BCLS within 30 days of hire/transfer.
